Normas de higiene y permisos para estudios de tatuajes

Esterilización, agujas de un solo uso, requisitos del local y los trámites con las autoridades.

Tattooing is a trust-based business: the client literally puts their skin in your hands. Hygiene rules are therefore not optional - health authorities inspect studios, and a single sloppy habit can destroy a studio's reputation with one infection.

The core principles

  • Single-use needles and consumables: opened from sterile packaging in front of every client; collected in a sharps container and disposed of according to regulations.
  • Sterilization: reusable equipment (grips, forceps) goes through ultrasonic cleaning and autoclave sterilization, is stored in sterile packaging, and each cycle is logged with a traceable batch number.
  • Protective equipment: disposable gloves and mask, protective glasses when needed; barrier film on machines, cables and work surfaces, replaced for every client.
  • Surfaces: the work area should be smooth and easy to disinfect; keep the waiting area physically separate from the work zone.
  • Hand hygiene: wash and disinfect hands before and after every client - and offer it to the client too.

Permits and notification

In most countries the tattooing activity must be notified to the competent local health authority before you start, and that authority inspects your hygiene conditions. The exact procedure and premises requirements change over time - always ask the local authority for the current requirements before opening, and follow the regulations that apply in your country.

What clients see

Hygiene is also marketing. When a client sees you open a fresh needle, glove up and work from sterile packaging, you build trust - they come back and they recommend you. Showing your sterilization routine on social media is some of the cheapest, most honest marketing a studio can do.

How booking fits in

Infection control starts in the waiting area: when clients arrive by appointment, they do not pile up and your workspace stays calm. Appointio's reminders also reduce accidental overlapping arrivals - your calendar stays readable and the studio stays quiet.
